Default BAS trim

Has anyone fitted leather seat upholstery from BAS trim. Is it a DIY job?. Did you refoam the seats first? Was the refoaming a DIY job? Was the foam supplied by BAS? Anyone got a photo of finished job that they did. Thanks for any advise in advance
Regards Ben

Default Bas trim

I have tried ringing and emailing all BAS trim outlets and can't get a response . Only answering machine saying all lines are busy. Are they still in business and has anyone dealt with them.

that's the way BAS is, "they" seem to be a one-man operation. If you get a reply, it's a miracle.

try John Skinner Ltd. in UK, they have always responded quickly to any e-mail enquiry:

Jaguar Interior Trim Manufacturer - John Skinner Ltd

That was one issue with BAS I found later after purchasing my carpet kit. No one ever seemed to respond to anything afterwards. I needed further quotes but no answer. I contacted the head office in the UK to complain and they kicked the local guy's butt. Called me within days.

BAS also runs an upholstery installation shop, and I think that's where they spend their time, but the truth is that their telephone and e-mail service is lacking. Having said that, the quality of their Jaguar upholstery products is excellent.

you might also check with World Upholstery in California, they've been around for a while.

Seat Upholstery, Carpet Sets, Converitble Tops, Headliners, Door Panels and Rubber Seals for Jaguar XJ Series Sedans from World Upholstery & Trim

I've never dealt with them....but I do understand how poor communications can be very frustrating.

But, yes, I've seen some Jags outfitted with BAS interiors....very impressive.

Another possible choice OSJI...Original Specification Jaguar Interiors. Or something like that. I've heard good things.

Cheers

Default World upholstery

World upholstery came back to me very quickly. You would think venders would be trolling these site with help advice and service. Maybe the recession did not hit some companies and they don't need the work
