Durn good. Beat the elements, huh?
Flying dust, bugs, etc.
I've done a few in the yard paint jobs. Most worked out fairly well.
One an awful flop. Brown refrigerators were popular??? The local paint store offered appliance paint. Brown looked good. Price right.
56 VW's dingy tan not very attractive. I did a lot of prep, including a sealing primer. Work mate loaned me his paint gun and compressor. Bug problems amongst others. Barely, acceptable. but, better than it was...
Later, I got a 46 Plymouth 1/2 ton pickup. Decent, ran well. starter idiosyncracies. Dull grey... I decided on red with white wheels and trim. Primitive spray equipment. But, except for some orange peel here and there, it looked great. Sold it for a profit and got a "better"
49 Ford pickup. Didn't run quite as well, but started each and every time., unlike the red one...

Sure was. It was a beautiful day with absolutely no breeze. It actually got that hot that we had to put it in the shade for the final coat. Not bad for the middle of winter eh?

This should be in the Aussie Tourist Highlights thread.
Bring your car with you, Rick and the crew in Qld will colour change it while you keep the Goanna's, Crocs and Spiders at a decent distance.
Sounds like a plan to me.
Too cold down here at the moment, 9C and gale force winds, hail, rain, and generally fairly ordinary.

Grant:
Could swap you about 20 F's or so for a few C's.
We have miniclimes. 60's on the Ocean, 70's on the bay and
90's inland.
Going to 'play" in the shop this AM and hibernate after about 12 noon.
Peak high's run from about two til about six.
Rain done for til much later in the year.
