Default Paint code? - RESOLVED

I recently bought a 1995 XJ6 that is a wonderful deep-green color that appears to be original. The decal supposed to be in the driver's door jam is missing, so that potential source of the paint code isn't available to me. The automotive touch up paint source I've used in the past tells me they need a code since my color doesn't appear on their chart.
It is a very nice dark, non-metallic green that seems the perfect 'British racing green'. Does anyone out there know what the code might be? Or does anyone know how to find out from Jaguar Cars what color my car was originally painted?

Default Paint Code

The paint code is located on the ID sticker/plate on the body member across the front on which the hood hinges are mounted, picture attached plus colour codes.

All my car has in the pictured location is an EPA certification sticker on the left and a emission controls schematic on the right -- no paint code decal.
Hopefully I can select the right code from the color charts atached.
Thanks very much for your response!
Best regards.

Have you tried to run the VIN through the on line VIN checker?

No, I haven't.
I confess I don't know anything about an online VIN checker. How does one go about accessing such a service?

You can also call or visit the Jaguar Dealer with the VIN and they can look your car up in the database. Just ask for the trim and paint code(s) so you can buy touch-up paint (even though the touch-up paint is probably NLA).
A potential paying customer gets more service than a pesty time waster.

On USA cars this sticker is on the edge of the drivers side door.

Sounds like it is missing on the OP car though, perhaps a repaint? You can tell if the VIN stickers are still present on all body pieces.

The only non metallic green is British Racing Green; code HFB, the dark metallic green is Spruce; code HFL, or a light sage green is Jade; code HEV

Default Don't know where the sticker went...

All the body pieces have their vin tags present, and the driver's door doesn't appear to have been disturbed, but it just has no information tags or decals. If the door was replaced or repaired, someone did a fine job.
After looking at the charts provided by John Herbert, I think Jagboi64 is right, and believe the code is 753/HFB.
Anyway, that HFB code lead to a direct order to an online touch up paint supplier, no problem. We'll see if this matches as well as other products he's provided in past orders.
Thanks for the help!

The charts solved the puzzle!
Special thanks.

Incidentally, saw this 1996 Sovereign on Jaguar Classified and wonder what colour it is - very deep metallic red which looks very classy.

Carnival Red is much brighter? This one is near BMW's royal red, but deep red rather than purplish.

There are only 3 reds listed for 1996. Carnival red, Morocco red, which is really a very dark plum type colour, very similar to the earlier Black Cherry; and Signal Red, which is the classic E Type bright red.

I have an XJR in Carnival Red and that car in the ad looks very similar to me. Unless it's clean and in full sun the Morocco Red looks almost black. The car in the ad is certainly not that.

Yeh, I have looked up more pictures of Jaguars in Carnival red and I agree with you that this colour matches the one shown in the ad. The colour shows well generally, and even better when in the shade.

Hello,

I am also searching for the right colour. I always ordered 753/HFB but they always delivered colours which were too light, not dark enough. What can I do to get the right colour please?
