I have a Mk2 with an early S1 XJ6 4.2 and BW Model 12 box.
I suspect the gearbox has a governor valve issue.
Has anyone on here come across that?
I am struggling to find a manual for the box too.

Somewhere in one of my sheds there is a DG & BW12 manual, I think.

I am banned from the sheds today, as a snake has taken up residence, and the catcher will be here sometiime later, I hope.

What part of the island is home?

I will go look when I get the all clear.

 

What are the symptoms?
The factory service manual has a large section on the model 12. I can send a pdf file if you pm an email address.
I also have 3 model 12 transmissions to give away to needy owners
