Default cost and options for a new engine?

So I've had two Jaguar XJ6s, one 1976 and a 1985. I've found another that I really want. It's a 1975 white XJ6 in 95% perfect physical condition with some major engine problems. think it would be the perfect candidate for an engine swap. My question is, what are my options for a new engine? I know the 350 V8s are a very common swap and would be an easy option. anything else I could put in? something that would make it a decent daily driver (although wont be my only car) and then, how much would be the end cost of the whole process? you've got the whole engine to buy, transmission, and installation. I wouldn't be putting it in myself. what round about number could I count on? engine? transmission? and install?

thanks so much
