Driver door wouldn't shut
87 Series III. Bought off BAT, car had been sitting for years. Everything was stiff...except the tires.
The door was nice enough to open and shut properly all winter when I went inside to clean/inspect but as soon as it warmed up...thud. Wouldn't shut.
So...first stop: YouTube. Saw a few vids, but the door panel removal was contradicted in a few videos, so I looked it up here..yup, the missing link.
I got lucky, just needed a little de-gunking and a lot of lubricant.

Oh just a tidbit, in case you don't know.
I started cleaning the door sills, door jambs, etc. and of course ended up detailing a lot of small bits around the car.
If you look in your gas filler caps, there is a metal tag held on by two Phillips head screws....I suspected the void would be filled with barn fodder from it's previous few years and was I right!
The drain holes were plugged on both
sides.
