Default engine dies while running after some time

Hello,

I have a 85JagXJ6. The engine will start fine and idle for many hours. Now when I start driving after 45 mins to 60 mins it will stall then engine die. I will wait for 20 to 30 or so then it will start again and run.

Would anyone have this issue before? Could you please tell me how I can resolve the this issue, I really love my 85JagXJ6.

Thank you very much.

Both the ignition module (AC Delco #D1906) and the ignition coil are known to give trouble when hot and then work OK again after cooling down.

Next time this happens check for spark at the plugs. No spark or a weak spark obviously suggests an ignition problem. If spark is strong then explore fuel system possibilities

Post back for more details, if needed

Cheers

I suppose one could apply an ice pack to each and see if the engine fires up.
Or a blast of CO2!!!!
