Here's an easy place to start: carefully examine the ducting between the air flow meter and the throttle body. Any holes? Is is properly seated and secured?

If that doesn't pan out post back with more details about the problem. Does this happen only with a cold engine? Any black smoke from the exhaust? Is the throttle blade set to the proper .002" gap? Does it restart easily?

Cheers
DD
