I've been having a difficult time replacing the front calipers. The part numbers show it's from a 1973 Jaguar XJ6. There are no replacement calipers available. I've sent the one's I have in to get rebuild and they said they can't due to several issues. I've contacted a few places about replacing the entire system (spindles, rotor, hub, etc) and use a different caliper. They claim there's no conversion kits. I'm hoping someone on here can help me on what I could do to solve this issue? I'm completely stuck on this and greatly appreciate any help.
Thanks in advance,
Mike
Use caliper, rotors and spindles from a Series 3 or 1980's and up XJS. You could also user series 3 Lower control arm for increased caster that is more compatible with modern tires. The later spindles also have larger wheel bearins and use a neoprene wheel seal... so... Lot of reason to upgrade. If you're in New Brunswich NJ I'm close and have a set.
