Is the long fulcrum bolt out yet? Or is that where you're stuck?

Cheers

The factory ROM says to "drift the bolt." That means to use a brass drift (long beat-on-it rod made of BRASS, pictured below) and beat the **** out of it until it's free.

We've just done this. One side came easily because it was bathed in steering oil, the other side took a Lot of effort.

I've never had one come out easy.

Heat, sledge hammer is what it takes. Sometime you mushroom the threads and sometime you get lucky and don't.

That is a lot of surface area to get loose. Is it lubed on reassembly?

Mine were mushroomed from the beating they took to remove them. I repaired the threads but wasn't happy with them so removed them again when the new ones arrived.
I had a new pair made up locally for $40 each.

one came out with some heat and a couple hits, other one... not so much... lots of heat and took about a 1/4 inch off the threads... found some replacements for 70 bucks each sent everything off to sand blasting and powder coating
