Question Fuel Line Flush

Hi all! Hoping I can get some help/guidance addressing the fuel system. My Grandad passed years ago and left behind a 1983 Jaguar XJ6 VDP that has since been sitting for around 25 years. This is my first car project and I am excited to get her going again! My first goal is to get the car running. I turned it over with some starter fluid and it only kicks. The circular style fuel rail makes it hard to siphon in gas so my focus is on getting fuel to the engine. I've already taken out the RH gas tank due to extensive rust. Before I install the new ones, I read it was a good idea to flush out the old gas from the system. Before I go disconnecting fuel lines and pumping air through them. Is there a "best" way or path of least resistance? Should I even bother? (the fuel that drained was amber) Any help and/or resources would be helpful!

Ill continue to update as I make progress in case anyone encounters these troubles. I removed the fuel pressure regulator on the rail and the fuel filter in the boot. I was able to push out the remaining fuel from the boot through the rail and from the regulator to the return using compressed air.
Next step was checking the functionality of components. I tried checking to see if the fuel pump was activating by putting it in drive and turning to the key to start. I also tried a bypass but both times I could not hear anything so I believe the pump needs replacing.

You might have better luck if you keep it in Park when you turn the key to start. Put a test light on the +12v connection to the pump and have someone cycle the key to see if it's getting power before you decide to replace it.

Clean those tanks! ...or you'll be cleaning the whole system out again as soon as you switch it on.

Got the new ones ready to go! Tried using acid to clean the old ones of rust but there was no saving them due to the amount of metal that had corroded.

That'll make for a happy kitty! I like the new replacement tanks, galvanized inside and out and good quality. Nice clean fuel for a long time.

Finally had some time to work on the car this weekend.
Quick update:
Used the multimeter and jumping wire to determine the relay and fuel pump are both bad. I wasnt able to get any voltage at the fuel pump when putting the car in starter position/engine off and drive. I used the jumper wire on 87/30 to get volts to the fuel pump, but it still wouldnt kick with confirmed power so its confirmed bad. Parts on the way are: the fuel pump (W0133-1602150), fuel filter (W0133-1635198), evil energy fuel hoses (3/8 & 5/16), and a new relay (BOSCH 0332019151).
Getting closer!
