That's the deal breaker for me. The beauty of the Sunrise Yellow paintwork with orange peel highlights and electrical tape coachlines was forgotten. It will just have to go to some other lucky owner who has the technical expertise to put it right.
I would typically advise against buying someone else's unfinished project. I don't doubt the owner has a lot of time and money invested in that car, but imho he's created something that will be hard to sell for anything close to his investment. There are plenty of Series II and III cars out there to buy and Series I can be be found if you're patient. Here's an example of a nice SIII although it's not very close to you. and you could not build it for much less than asking price!
