Grease Nipple Location 87 XJ6 4.2L

Its probably in the Workshop Manual or the Maintenance manual, (or both). There are an awful lot of them ! As a 1987 car, it probably has the later XJ40-type front suspension ball joints which have no grease nipples. These items do, however, last almost for ever in comparison to the earlier type designed in 1955.

I've checked the Series III Service Manual and there is no illustration or listing of grease nipples.
From memory:
1. U/J's on the rear drive shafts (the inner ones next to the diff are especially awkward to reach) - 4 in the spiders
2. rear hub lower pivot - 1 in the centre
3. Prop Shaft U/J' - 1 in each spider
4. prop Shaft sliding joint
5. Front suspension older pattern upper ball joints
