I suspect the fuel pump 1986 VDP
This car was a quick starter and did run well before parked for about 10 months now with no start or run operation.
Recentry tried to start but failed, I got to know the injectors were blocked, took them to injectors machine shop to clean and open the nozzles.
Now, started well, engine runs well on idle, accelerated well on idle as well but when I put on drive gear and tried accelerate, the fire went off and engine died.
Could this be that the fuel pump is not strong enough to pump with higher pressure or what what's the cause?
Please help.

With further diagnosing, I disconnected the AFM sensor cable and afterwards, the car started once, shift gear to drive the car moved, shift reverse the car moved all by its own without acceleration.
I will replace the AFM to see the next result.

I am going to assume? that the fuel filter was replaced, and the supply line to the front flushed with clean fuel prior to Injector re-install?
The fuel pump relay earth contacts inside the AFM, as in under that Black Plastic Cover, are a well known issue, thus shutting OFF the pump if they be grubby, or adjusted wrong.

How would I fix it solve the fuel pump relay earth inside the AFM?
