Install a dead pedal for driving comfort
One of the best additions I have made to my Series 1 XJ is the addition of a "dead pedal" or footrest to be used when driving.... there is still access
to the floor button for the high beams.
It is from a Mustang in the 90's and cost around $10.00... I just added the scrap piece of metal to the side and drilled two holes for lag bolts
to hold the pedal in place.
Where do you put your left foot when driving down the highway? Straight up and then move it all over the place trying to find comfort. Modern
cars have a spot now (usually a near vertical piece) to put your foot that is almost the same angle as the gas pedal..
Really helps for driving comfort. I used to just have two piece of 2X4's on top of each other that were under the carpet... this is a big improvement.

I, on the other hand, have driven for Hours and Hours with No left foot support at all, and found it to be The most comfortable car to drive I've ever had!
Our Windstar van has a block like Roger mentions, and after driving that thing for a couple hours I'm gimping around like an old woman! Until those results change I think I'll leave Nix as she is in that regard.

It is "my opinion" that Jaguars were made to fit a different body type - I am six foot, 198 lbs with long arms and legs... I had to get rid of the
Jag front seats for the TOTAL lack of comfort... no support in any direction...head rests that could only be used by someone shorter than myself. Very short from front to the rear on the bottom cushion and the "diaphragm" or toilet seat made me feel like I was falling into the seat...
Putting high back PT Cruiser front seats, with lumbar supports, right hand (inside) arm rest that is movable up and down and electric up and down (also heated but I hate heat from below). Not to even mention a storage bin below the seat for the needed additional storage.
Now there is finally side support and thigh support so I do not "fall out" of the seat on turns and am very comfortable. I can drive with my hands on
the wheel and with my arms resting on a arm rest on either side.
So adding the needed dead pedal finished out the comfort zone. One day I will put in a tilt steering wheel to complete the other things Jaguar did not
add...in and out is not needed as much as tilt.
I am glad the stocks seats fit someone and make them comfortable...

The seats in my Jag sedans have been fine for me but the XJS Seats?....dear Lord.....torture racks. Mine were the early flatter style. Zero support under the legs. Terrible. Raising and re-padding the seat bottom helped a lot

I must have big feet. But, the shoe size doesn't support that idea. Long ago, I concluded that Englishmen had narrow feet.
Just barely enough room in my jaguar for one brake pedal & throttle, much less a third.
I am pleased with it's seat comport. I like the laid back position, with arms extended.
The Jeep seats are far more upright and lean to a bent arm position. Multiple adjustments, but oddly configured. Nevertheless I find that comfortable as well.
By far the most comfortable buckets that I've rested my tail in are Chrysler Cordoba's version. I had a 69 Cordoba. and, I sourced a pair for my IHC to replace the most uncomfortable bench that I've ever sat in...
Well, off in the Jeep to see my doc.
