Default interior lights

so i got a kit to change out all the interior lights for LEDs, all of them work except for the light to the left of my head while sitting in the drivers seat (left hand drive). it worked before i tried to change it out, now when i put a bulb in it only comes on if one side of the bulb is connected (doesn’t matter which side i put in first), as soon as i push it all the way in it turns off. any thoughts?

I have replaced those lights in mine also. Some of the LED brands are polarity sensitive and some are not. You say you've tried putting the bulb in one end at a time, either end, but have you actually turned the bulb end-for-end and then installed it? See if that doesn't solve the problem. If not, look for corrosion on fixture contacts, give the bulb a couple of twists while it is in place. Good luck.

I had to rebuild both fixtures plus the door switches before my Pillar lights would work properly.
I also found LEDs gave a sickly yellow-green cast to Everything (especially me) so I went back to the Festoon lights.

I had the same problem with the cheap Chinese festoons I ordered. "Warm" color temperature LEDs are much more common now, but I think the automotive festoons are lagging. I don't know if "warm" festoons are available or not.
