Sunroof works, unless it doesn't. When it doesn't, I don't hear the motor firing on at all. I'm guessing it's the switch, and looks like they are pretty cheap on ebay. Anything else obvious I should check?

 

The s/roof switch (like the window switches) can be opened up and cleaned. The internal contacts get dirty.

Just remove the switch and gently pry it open. Watch out for small bits getting lost

I never open the sunroof anymore. Its just gonna break at some point and there are no real solutions other than cutting a bigger hole and adding an aftermarket sunroof. I disconnected my switch to prevent me from using it.

 

I pulled the switch, sprayed the contacts with contact cleaner, and wiped with a towel. It seems to be working now! Really cool how simple these switches are. Thank you for the tip!
