It's That Time Once Again
Well to be honest, after the Xjr got hit by a van that never stopped, i got a bit down hearted with it, and concentrated on finishing the old MGB.
But now that is done, I will get back to the Jag.
After all, it has do be all nice and straight for the Jaguar forums new meet at Denbies wine estate next May!

Pretty good!!!!
Our news says she offered to resume governance here. In view of our choices for POTUS, tempting. Perhaps a conservatorship, til we have another try at selecting better candidates....
I've some MGB head lamp stuff on my bench to use in swapping out my "improper" 5 1/4" out board lamps for "proper" 7's .
The lamps attach to an "adapter", bowl shaped, with the back open. In turn it should fit into the bucket. So far, it does not.
I suspect it is a USA thing. USA style sealed beams, in lieu European
bulbs.

Why, I have no good answer.

I had to tell husband, and he gave the biggest belly laugh I've heard from him in a Long time! Said, "I VOTE FOR THE QUEEN!!"

MGB headlamp buckets and fittings are the same as series XJ outer headlamps....
Well at least they are over here.
If its of any help, I think I still have a headlamp bucket with the fittings that I could photo and post here for you.

A hybrid, o to speak!!!
Elinor, glad you and husband enjoyed the humor. Sometimes, there is no there course, but to laugh. I did my ballot. Being very careful with the propositions. The language is tricky. The authors are good at making no, sound like yes, and vice versa. As to POTUS choice,
resolved, but not in a conventional manner.... Tons of junk
mail to toss.
Andrew:
Many thanks!! I see the issue and the solution. I've a ton of parts.
The "long" screws and springs resolved an issue. I think I have
them in yet another set of buckets!!!
I printed the pictures. New Epson Workforce printer did it well.

I used to work in Purley Way, Croydon many years ago! Used to drive from Leytonstone to Croydon daily as a commute. Nightmare!!
