I got a message on it early yesterday, 11-30. would be down for a short time for maintenance. it was fr all day or a good part of it.

i was on a bit ago. all up again.

 

Down for mantenace on 11-30.

Back this AM.

I got tired of the condescending know-it-all's over there months ago, I've never looked back.

And That is the very reason I'm here so much and only Lurk over there occasionally.
However, as long as I keep my thoughts and experiences to myself, sometimes I do learn some tricks over there.

But you're so right about that Condescending attitude. Husband found that site for me just after Nix came to live with us. I knew Nothing about Jags and was eager to learn Everything.

Even so I never felt welcome over there even in the beginning. Not only did I have being a Girl against me, but my Jag had been Defiled with a (shudder) Chevy engine and I wasn't the least bit contrite about it! So they let me know right soon that "We have a place for people like you, so you just get yourself over to the Lump section and stay there!" or words to that effect. They might have overlooked the Girl part, but Never the Chevy part.

So when I was invited over here by a member of both forums, theirs was an easy act to follow, to say the least.
And the rest, as they say, is history.

I've been a member 'over-there' since the late 1990s. (I guess I'm one of the 'know-it-alls'?)

25 something years but I still post on there from time-to-time.

 

And as we all know, The Jaguar XJ saloon did eventually get a V8 engine ! Not an iron one though.

 

But NOT the Series Xj6 saloons!
Never the Series Xj6s unless someone "defiled" them..........

I was using the derogatory and most used version of know-it-all's. Those who "know it all" and offer information and assistance without the tinge of self importance are the ones I appreciate.

I have been on J-L for a very long time. Way back some were irked at my "lump". Now, it is generaly accepted.

At one time the Lump section was super active. Now, almost ormant.

I post in the XJ6 section and try to help folks with issus. usually wellaccepted.

Gals have been there. Some left. I will not name the one that remains and posts regularly


I visit the lounge and pub.

Some stuff is OK. Other not t all.

Elinor, post thee. i thonk yu would be urprised at how well you are received.
