Jaguar xj6 series 3 changeover fuel problem
I noticed in my car one tank would become more full than how much gas I actually put into it when I switch tanks here and there. The question I have is where should I start and what all should I check to fix this problem. Also the things I would have to check, can you explain how to go about checking them and testing them? Thank you

The fuel is returned to one of the tanks irrespective of which tank is selected. There are two change over valves: One for the fuel being sent to the engine and one of the returned fuel. Your return valve is stuck, inoperable or has some wiring problem forcing the returned fuel to go to one tank.
I had the same problem on my XJ12 and I ended up dumping a bunch of gas in a parking lot before I realized what was happening. This is so freaking dangerous, is not funny.
