Default Late Series 1 peculiarities

Hi all.

I just bought myself a very late model (b. 11/72) series 1 XJ6 with interesting bumpers I thought I'd share (ok, only interesting to car nerds like me).

Weird and interesting super-safe front bumper things, and what is effectively a series II rear setup. Never seen them before. Fortunately I have some proper ones to fit and these will be consigned to the dustbin (of history).

I have a 3/73 series 1, it has the normal series 1 set up on rear, maybe a repair to the rear end has been done with series 2 bumper and boot lid. The over riders on the fromt bumper are something I haven't seen before.

Edit: just found these 69 & 73 pics, it may me market specific to your area.
