Default Mirror switch broken

One of my two mirror adjusters has gone belly up - it stopped working consistently and then the interior post piece (what the rubber cap covers) got loose and now it works not at all. I hear tell these darlin's run a bit of money... Talked to BPI in Hpuston, no new or used available. Any source suggestions? Or changeout ease with perhaps a later model part? Would the plugs still fit?

Thanks!

For good used parts contact David Boger at :

Everyday XJ

Great guy; he'll fix you up.

PS---have you checked that connector hasn't simply has come loose?

The retangular bezel unscrews from the trim panle and then the switches and bezel can be pull away from the door. You can easily check to see if the connector came apart. The two switches are held in place in the bezel by allen-key set screws
