Default Is my engine temp too low for 88 XJ6

Hi!

I just drove about an hour this morning (65 degree outside) and my digital temperature gauge shows just below about 70(not sure if F or C). Also, I turned my heater on all the way but only getting slightly warm air.

thanks
Young

You need to post in the XJ40 forum, but from what you say, it seems too low, maybe thermostat has failed in the open condition.

Thanks for the lead. I went to a part store and got the part for just under $20. My mechanic did it in 5 minutes without charge since I had spent over $800 in labor just last week. The heater is working good now.
