Default Need Help with AC

Hello everyone, it's my first post! I just bought a beautiful 91 Vanden Plas. The AC was not working or blowing. When I checked under the hood, I notice that the Compressor drive belt and the air pump drive belt was not on at all. So I put a belt on the compressor (still waiting on the air pump drive belt to come in, but to my knowledge, that is for emissions) and no ac. I checked the fuses in the front for the blowers and no blown blower fuses. There are a couple blown fuses, but not for the blower. I find it very strange that both blowers are not working. So, before I buy two blowers on ebay, I wanted to see what you guys think. Thank you so much!

First let's confirm the exact car you have

A 1991 Vanden Plas could be a "Series III" car with a V12 engine...which might have migrated to Texas from overseas or Canada.

Or it could be an "XJ40" car if it has a 6 cylinder engine.

If the latter, your best bet is to post your problem in the "XJ40" section. You'll get some good help from people who are familiar with your car

Cheers

I'm sorry. It's a six cylinder. I thought it was the XJ6.

No apology needed; it's a confusing thing. The "XJ6" name was used for decades on cars that were significantly different.

The guys in the XJ40 section will be glad to help
