Need a part number for interior door handle "fir tree" fastener
Hello, at the front of the Vanden Plas interior door handles there is a plastic fir tree type fastener on the bottom side. It helps secure the top portion of door handle to the bottom portion. A couple of mine are broken and when looking at the Jaguar parts manual as well as the SNG diagrams, that fastener is not shown or identified. It could be Part number 7 in the diagrams, but there is no part number given. They may be NLA at this point, but does anyone have a part number, or know of a substitute, maybe from the XJ40 line? I believe the non-VDP models used a regular screw in the same spot although the door handle design is slightly different. I may also look into using a regular screw if they are NLA.
Thanks for any input.

You could try at Amazon and get a large selection.
(I bought these for Trucklet as he was badly suffering from Deplorable Maintenance and Criminal Neglect)
After finding one that might work, take a sample of the correct color you want and find a bottle of Nail Polish (WalMart or CVS) that might be close enough.
In truth it won't have to be Right On as few will take any notice if it's a shade off.
