Default new battery , still wont turn over

I left the lights on and run down the battery completely.I charged the battery and all the dash lights came back on but nothing happens when I turn the key.I replaced the battery and still full dash lights but the engine still does not even turn over at all. Does anyone know what might be wrong?
Thanks for any help!

Most likely loose/dirty/corroded battery cables or grounds, or a faulty starter relay. More details here. Post back if more help needed!

You just have to track it through using an AVO meter.

- ignition key to relay - does it supply 12v at the relay when turned to start position
- is there volts at the high-amps input side of the relay (battery supply, a large cable)
- if the relay switches does 12v come out the supply side to the starter motor
- do you get 12v to the starter motor.

this may or may not be of help and I am sure the guys above nailed it better but I just fixed a similar problem on my BMW 5 series. But the cause of my problem started when suddenly loosing all power while driving. It turned out to be a blown fusible link from alternator to battery. Put a new one in and she fired right up. Good luck!
