Default 1976 XJ12L I will be selling-need a little info

To make a long story short, I have a 1976 XJ12L that I will be selling for an aquaintence. It was running 2 years ago when he got a job as a cruise ship musician and so it sat. Now he can't find the key and the neighbors said it has to go. Some surface rust outside, but the worst thing I see is the drivers floor is completly "Fred Flinstone"-Gone between the seat and the firewall. The rest of the car is not too bad. I don't see water leaks. No wiring cut, interior is good except the woodgrain is cracking. Complete and unmolested as far as I can tell except floor mats and carpet are gone. Now, I am familiar with a lot of cars, but have never worked on a Jaguar. I don't want to see this cut up and parted out, but I have no idea of worth. I will have photos soon. Any ballpark idea on what to do with it? Clean title. Never wrecked as far as I can tell. Is it worth fixing because it is complete and original or does the floor rust make it a parts car? I would appreciate a little guidance. Thanks!

Sorry to have to tell you, but in my view the car is virtually worthless in that condition. Better to break for parts to let owners of similar cars in better condition keep their cars running.

OK, I assume the engine is worth more if I can prove it runs. Is there an easy way to "hot wire" it without destroying the steering column?

Here are some photos that may help. I really appreciate any advice. I don't want to cut up a survivor, but I don't want to save a parts car. JUst trying to do the right thing. THanks!
