Question New Monroe Rear Shocks

Morning from Sunny St. Catharines, Ontario.
A follow up on a previous discussion we had a while ago re Rear shocks.

Got my Monroe shocks (P/N 39003) yesterday. They seem to have the top spring support as part of the shock unit, and a small (3/32") groove with a thin circlip at the bottom. They are not sold with the bottom spring seat and collets to lock the seat. The small groove seems very small to handle the combined weight of the car plus the force of the compressed spring.

Additionally, the "groove and Circlip" seem to be roughly 1" further up the shock tube, which would indicate that the spring would need to be compressed more than on the original installation.

Here is a picture link:

Does this sound correct? Nowhere that sells this shock lists the seat and collets, so I assume the old ones swap over. Am I correct or do I now have 4 new unusable shocks?

Best Regards, Ian
