You should post in the X300 section regarding the trim parts. You might well find a taker there but this section is for the Series I-III specific model so not applicable to our cars.
I didn't even think of that...... I forgot this was in a specific section...... I was thinking I posted in new member. I haven't tossed them yet but not really sure it's worth the effort anyway.
The Ridler wheels are too much.....their 0 offset makes them stick out to far....and tires rub...even the smaller 215/55-17's so I took them off and posted them on FB someone else with an older Chevy muscle car can use them. I took the orig Kent spare....sanded it and painted it silver metallic.... I don't know.... I kind of like the look of an all silver Kent (pics of chromed Kent's online gave me inspiration).... What do ya'll think? I got a minute this morning and threw it on to take a pic...
When i switched to wire wheels I couldn’t give my Kents away, nobody wanted them, put them on on my 68 lemans to roll it around until I found the wheels I wanted then just took them to the dump!
As far as the Kent wheels worth nothing..... I agree. I had them on fb w/tires, caps, lugs.....everything for as low as $150 and no takers. So.... I figured I'd have no regrets sanding and painting one.....the spare which was the best although all are in pretty good shape. I kinda like the all silver.... I might even try one with a stripped/polished lip with all black/charcoal center and decide between the two. I'd go with a Chevy or Corvette hub center cap decal though as my car is a swapped 5.7 car..... It's difficult finding a good choice of aftermarket wheel that looks good, is spaced right, etc.... without adapters. I don't mind a spacer to take up the hub 'lip' but not an adapter. I have a factory Chevrolet wheel in mind that would work in all aspects but I think these Kent's might do the trick with a simple makeover..... ??

Has anyone found/used an alternative Kent style wheels center cap..... something that fits securely and looks good? I've made a final decision to run my refinished solid silver painted Kent's but Im short one hubcap and 2 have little dings.....besides that I don't like them and would change out to a Chevy logo emblem anyway. I just thought I'd ask.....otherwise I'll try to find something. I measured 2.75 (2-3/4) wheel bore with a 10mm lip to clip over
I think I've found an aftermarket 70mm center cap to fit the Kent wheels....an it's 2-3/8 tall to clear the front hub bearing cap.... Also.... I scored a set of 5th Gen Camaro 'steelie' wheels.... complete. After some research.... I determined the bolt pattern is the same, the 40mm offset with a spacer to clear the larger hub lip (or bore it out slightly ... not sure yet) and the 18" tires easier to find at a decent price.... and of course mine being a 5.7 Chevy swap....it just makes sense with Chevy wheels LOL.... I fitted one this morning.....everything clears and it sits perfectly in the middle of the wheel well like the stock Kent's....so there will l be no rubbing issues with a 225-235 tire..... I love 'em ....the black looks good against the gold and matches the black accents/trim... I'll keep the refinished solid silver Kent's too....
