About to start prepping for the next project and I haven’t even started the one before it yet!!! The week after Christmas is when I will be swapping out the gears to 3:73s and the next project will be well underway ( but in someone else’s hands to begin with)
I have been scouring eBay and classified ads on the lt1 forums, and have scored a spare set of heads ( aluminium) and and Intake manifold, just got done reboxing them back up to send them to Texas to Elliot port works!!!! Am I going overboard? Of course I am! Only getting the le1 package so

Are you going to upgrade your cam, Darren? The LE1 Elliot heads come with a lot of spring pressure, are you going racing? Every source I've come across agrees that the iron head flows better than the aluminum version. I hope your upgrade works well for you, let use know what the "seat of your pants" tells you. I'm interested to hear how your ring/pinion swap turns out also.

Be ok with my lt4 hotcam that’s currently installed, ideally he would do a custom grind, but cam cores are hard to get right now. There are
lots of lt1 s out there running the le1 and hotcam, it’s a decent combination, but does leave some power on the table! I’m ok with that, he has recommended adding 36lb injectors and a 58mm throttle body , as the intake will be opened up as well!!
i will definitely post on what difference the gears make!!!
