Default RE: parts compatibility

the seats yes, with some mods to the floor frames - but nothing else - two different bodies/designs.

Default What seats can I install in a 1975 XJ6C?

I have a 1975 XJ6C with an excellant body and a LT1 350 4L60E transmission, & upgraded disc brakes etc. Run well. The interior is in great shape, but I am thinking seats from a later Jag or after market might be more comfortable than the old 70s style seats. What options do I have? Electric, height adjustable with great comfort and support would be ideal. Oh and while I am dreaming is there any possibility of an adjustable steering wheel?

Thanks

As mentioned above the XJ40 seats will work. I know the swap has been done a number of times. Can't remember the details but only minor re-working was needed, it seems.

Since your steering wheel already adjusts in-out I assume you mean a "tilt" steering column? Later Jags have that feature but I've not heard of any swaps so I don't know how doable it is or isn't, sorry. You might be the trailblazer :-)

Cheers

Thanks. I just got the car and did not realise it telescopes. That is good enough.

Stick with the original seats - they are much better quality!

I find the low back on first impression to be less comfortable and less supportive than the seats in my daughters 08 Mazda 3 or my Jeep tj winter car. They are in excellent shape so it's not age but design. It's not a quality issue. I would most likely keep them in any event. Time will tell, particularly if the wheel telescopes I might be happy with them.

Thanks for the input.
