I investigated why my power antenna on my '85 Vanden Plas wouldn't work and discovered that the motor unit is missing. The nylon cable simply ends in the spare tire well. I can manually pull the antenna up and down, but I'd like the auto feature.

I searched the archives and found some older posts about remote mount alternatives but most seem to now be unavailable. Also many reported that the non-remote mount alternatives would not fit. So, I found this unit: Fully Automatic Remote Motor Power Antenna which appears to still be available and the price isn't bad.

Has anybody used it? How did it work out?
