Power windows and sunroof DEAD
Tried to open the windows today and all plus the sunroof are dead. I have S57 and they seem to be fed off one Power window relay. Suppose I'll start there. That relay is fed from a Jumper (not through) fuse 13 on the main fuse panel. Question is, does the "Master Switch" activate (ground) that relay off pin 86 to provide power to pin 87 of that relay? Also, I assume that power to that relay (pin 85) from the ignition switch is only available when the switch is in the "Run" position. Perhaps I will do an ignition switch tune-up, even though it's not given any trouble so far. Ian
85 white/pink = 12v with key on
30/51 brown = 12v constant
87 red/slate = output to windows (via circuit breakers)
86 black = ground via master switch
The master switch makes/breaks the ground path to the relay
Easiest place to begin is making sure the master switch hasn't been unknowingly flipped :-)
Cheers

Thanks Doug. It was simple. First item checked was the relay. Getting power from the Ign. switch, but the relay does not activate. Swapped in a new relay and "PRESTO", Success. If everything was so simple! Ian
