Would it be beneficial to run a small pre oiler to run oil thru the channels at 40psi before cranking the engine? As they sit a while and probably don’t start right away I see a lot of wear being induced on a dry motor. Specially after sitting for a few months (years).
The MAIN issue are the O/rings on the oil pump suction and supply side, INSIDE the Upper Sump. They be old., liike me, and flaky, like me, and that spells trouble, unlike me.
I ALWAYS replace those O/rings with Viton spec, and forget about it.
The V12 oil pump is a MONSTER and moves a shiiit load of oil, FAST and at 110psi. Same basic design as an Auto Trans oil pump.
If I have one that has sat for a year or so, I remove the Idiot light sender, and using a spigot fitting and a syringe, prime the system that way. It will take whiles, and you will :feel" the thing get harder to push as the system fills up.
BIGGEST issue with the V12, and any car really, are the clowns that DO NOT prefill the oil filter, that can have horrible things happen to crank bearings, but people still do it, claiming "its too messy", OK, your call and Bank Balance.
