Hey all,

Has anyone used this for the V12 and if so what are your thoughts?

Cheers

Craig

Total waste of money and pointless, if not actually bad. Just use decent brand 100% synthetic regularly changed and the engine will be perfect.

I'll go a step further . Not only are the additives unnecessary but so is using synthetic oil. Your V12 will be perfectly happy on conventional oil, if that's what you'd prefer.

As this most things mechanical...it depends. If you V12 is worn out with low oil pressure and you're just trying to get some more life out of it at the end... then Lucas or some other oil treatment like STP might help mask an issue for awhile. If your V12 is in good condition and well maintained then dont use. Just stick with regular oil in a viscosity appropriate for your climate. Synthetic is best but will most likely seep all over the place. No oil treatment is a substitute for good maintenance and V12's needs that. Spend the money on maintenance items like making sure you cooling system is up to snuff and the radiator is clean.

I've seen engines with oil control issues and the Jag V12 doesnt have them. That's one of its bright spots. From its gear-rotor pump, long straight and wide galleries, and ample drain back, the oil system is solid and needs no help unless high RPM need to be sustained.

15w40 heavy duty diesel oil + friction modifier (Archoil or Liqui-moly Ceratec) is all I use. You shouldn't need retail grade additives...if you use anything use what drag racers use or don't bother.
