Price HELP

Firstly you appear NEW, so welcome to our world.
That question is very difficult to answer for ANY car.
I have been asked it many times in my years with Jaguar.
My standard comment is:
"The car is only worth what you are prepared to pay for it, versus what he is prepared to sell it for". Basically he wants ?$, you want it for ?$, and somewhere between the two a deal is done.
Do your homework on the S3 very thoroughly, as there are some very specific issues that will bite you if caution is ignored.
Lastly, and maybe the most difficult, "Leave emotion at home".

If you cannot fix cars - run like crazy away from the deal
You have no idea what it costs to fix these old Jags if you cannot do
all/most of the work yourself. Jag dealers will not work on these old cars
nor do they have trained people nor parts.
There is probably massive rust in all the normal place and put off maintenance items that will cost $$$$.
