Dave,
Thanks for your post, I Iwas finally able to get to the rear window switches cleaned which were the problem. I did not realize the rear switches, would be my issue but as they are tied to the front console rear window switches, (Right) I also learned how to remove the rear door panel, the next time I have to go into the door.
Thanks again
Jim
Doug,
Wanted to send a quick shout out to you and the guys. Windows are up and running. The rear window switches were the culprit, and I learned a lot more from everyones help
Thanks
Jim
you welcome Jim. sometimes I hit the spot, and I have experience with that rear center console section.
in my car I installed the rear center section from a Vanden Plas XJ-6, it is a lot nicer with another cig lighter and chromed ashtray. Because Vanden Plas interiors don't come in Buiscuit color, I recovered it with Biscuit color vinyl.
The wiring for the extra cig lighter is already there, taped over in non-Vanden Plas XJ-6. David at Everyday XJ supplied the missing extension wiring harness section so it was an easy connect. It mounts the same way as the short section, with the two screws and two pins. Alignment is identical.
