Rear window problem

The Jaguar Technical Training Manual suggests the following as possibilities if the rear windows do not rise: 1) battery (your battery may be new, but perhaps not fully charged): cure: " Press and hold top switch is close position. The door glass will be driven down, then up in 4 seconds, followed by the door glass to fully closed. Check battery is FULLY charged."
2) if the glass will not rise after the top has been raised MANUALLY then the latching signal is not being recognised. Cure: "Manually latch the top compartment lid by pushing the convertible top compartment lid forward until the latch has travelled over centre".
3)**Glass will not rise: latched signal is not recognised. Cure: "carry out convertible top compartment lid-over-centre bracket setting procedure". This may be the issue here, but since you have just installed a battery I suspect that the battery voltage is not quite high enough.
I would go through then entire top latching procedure (check the owners manual) and make sure the luggage separator in the trunk is properly located - but do not forget the battery issue! low battery voltage is the cause of the overwhelming number of electronic glitches in the XK (always a good idea to have battery minder like the CTEK installed and used when the car is not actually in use).
I hope this is of some help.
