My Jag is a 1987 XJ6 4.2 Series III. I need to know how to reset the security system on this car so it will strt. Can you help me. Thank you. Kent

Hi Kent,

The Series III cars never had a factory installed security system so it comes down to identifying which system has been installed and hoping someone here knows or that there's some info out there on the internet. Typically the 'brain' of the system is found under the dashboard somewhere and will be marked with the brand name and (hopefully) model number.

FWIW, I've removed several add-on security systems. Seems like they all give trouble eventually.
