Default S3 Radiator Cap Correct Pressure 15 or 16 Lbs??

Hi All,

I have just purchased a 1985 VDP and am going over it as you do.

The Maintenance Handbook with the car says 15 Lbs
My S3 Workshop Manual says 15 Lbs

My car has a 16 Lbs cap fitted.

I have been to Repco (my preferred supplier), but they only stock 16 Lbs caps.

I have seen 15 Lbs caps online, but from Europe

Is the 1 Lbs difference a big deal?
Do you all fit 16 Lbs caps in Australia when the original lets go because that's all that is available easily??

Should I be pedantic about it?

Thanks for your thoughts,

Cheers,

Nigel
