seat memory doesn't remember
The drivers seat memory in my 95 xj6 doesn't work. The steering wheel always moves into position but the seat doesn't move up into the drive position I set.
Does the memory switch pack in the door hold the memory?
Thanks

Seat memory? Our XJ's are too old to have any memory! Try posting in the X300 section for 95-97 XJ6 models, or known to a very small but dedicated group as the Series 5.
Don't ask about why they call the 87 1/2-94 the XJ40 (series 4) and the 95-97 X300...it's another Jaguar thing that generates a lot of debate and confusion.
From what I have gathered, the tags on these all say XJ6, but buried in the Jag literature they are clarified as the XJ40, X300, or whatever.
It's just semantics, but you'll figure it out as you get to be more "in the know".

I didn't know about the X300 thing, thanks for the info.
I figured out the memory problem. Right after I posted my question I was surfing around some other sites and found that I have a memory module under each seat.
Thanks again.

Does anyone knowhowto program the drivers seat module in a 1997 XJ6-L, other than to take the jag to a dealer and have them hook it up to the ids machine ? I'm hours away from a dealer, and though i purchased the module from the dealer and had it shipped, I can't find any instructions or online video instructions of how to program the seat module once it is installed. Help?!
