Default series 1 rear bumper

I have a 1972 s1 and need a rear bumper. I have the side pieces from a 1974 s2. Can I get the middle section from a s1 or s2 and use it. Correct me if I'm wrong but I think the s1 came with either a solid one piece rear bumper or a three piece system.

This is a bit of a difficult one. As I recall, the original S1 bumper was in one piece, but Jaguar soon went over to a three-piece, (2 side pieces, plus one middle piece), due to cost. So if you have the end/side pieces an S1 or S2 should fit. The front is, however, different, and of course, S3 totally different.

The US spec series 2's used an "impact" type rear bumper. You will want to find one from a series 1. The series 1 went to a 3 piece fairly early, around 1970 I think.
