Default series 1 xj12 unhealthy

hey everyone i was just wondering i have a series 1 xj12 and its running pretty unhappily. im pretty sure its got a cracked head gasket and the left banks valves could be buggered. i was just wondering how much this should all cost and since its already a big job may as well get other things done since the motor will be coming out.

any help and your thoughts would be much apprectiated

May not be much help but, for the record:

My 88 XJ-S (V12) 'dropped a valve' in (the year) 2000. This involved a second hand replacement head and associated pfaffing about by the (then) local specialist. The bill came to $A3500...

Best of luck with it, whatever the story turns out to be!

Cheers,

Tony.
