Default Series 3 Opera Lights removal

Hi all. Any idea how I get these out? There’s a short circuit in there somewhere!!

I think they’re called opera lights. I guess there also rear reading lights.

As Jose says pull back the plastic cover to undo the screws. From memory there is one screw into the sheet metal to provide a ground. Then one or two small machine screws with nuts. To undo the nuts you'll have to remove or partially remove the trim panel.

Reading lights.

Opera lamps are on the outside of the car

Wonderful. Thanks both!

This short caused the fuse to blow and meant the door lights stayed on.

There are lots of posts about a TSB to fit a diode somewhere to prevent that.

Can someone direct me to either the TSB or a suitable diode and where to place it?

Thanks!
