Default series 3 temp gauge question

Please dont think i am rude with this question, but i am looking for fact, not opinion...
I would like to know the real meaning of the green in my temp gauge, i have heard that it means you are too hot, i have heard it means normal temp!
Please if you know the real answer let me know! My car runs right at the 90 mark most of the time, but if i am out on the freeway in the summer it will climb to around 120 if i really push it, (doing around 80 with ac on)

Technically it's the "OK" zone but not many people feel comfortable running too deeply into it for too long....especially if the temp keeps climbing and climbing.

Running 120ēC would make me nervous. Unless you're in Las Vegas in August there's no reason it should be running that hot.

Cheers
DD
