Cool series 3 v12 air conditioning convertion

didn't think I could still get them but just fitted replacement pollen filters and 134 port nozzles to the air con on my series 3 v12, but will it ever be worth getting the air con topped up with this awful weather here in the uk.
lol

Yes it will be. Many people seem to be under a misapprehension that aircon is only of use in Summer. The role of air conditioning in a climate control unit that you have in your V12 is to dehumidify the air in the car. Then, depending on what temperature you have selected, the dehumidified air may then be heated to allow the selected temperature to be achieved. In summer on a hot day, no heating will take place, merely cooling. On humid but cool days the aircon keeps the car from misting up and heating is applied to the dehumidified air.

FWIW I keep my climate control on all the time and this means the aircon runs continually. When it gets really cold the aircon will shut off automatically so the evaporator doesn't freeze up.
