For the XJS, yes. But not for the XJ6.
Maybe I have an outdated version?

The S57 guides are USA-centric. For the USA market Jaguar did not fit fog lamps on the Series III cars but did fit them on the XJS.

Somewhere there ARE diagrams of the non-USA lighting circuits. I just can't remember where I've seen them.

Meanwhile, have you checked/cleaned the bullet connectors under the headlight fuse box? I'm 99% sure the existing foglamp wiring has some connectors nesting there.

Cheers
DD

Thanks for the suggestions Doug and Jose.
I will look at connections for fogs soon.
I've been pre-occupied with getting the interior back in car.
Getting the A/C recharged tomorrow. Over the winter, I've pulled the Delanair unit out and replaced the heater core. Also new compressor, new a/c lines, condenser and of course the drier. New wood from C&G. VDP interior. Major project coming to a close.

By the way, the Euro switch Knob has a slot at the rear center for a opticell cable, so it actually uses two opticell cables, one for the switch position indicators, and one for the knob fascia.

I was aware of that.
I sourced the long fiber cable for it.
Thanks.

Follow up post on my formerly non working fog lights.
They work fine now with the Euro switch I installed. I like that switch so much better than the USA version.
Problem was......no fuse inserted in main fuse box #1 terminal for the fogs.
Ooooops on my part for not noticing sooner. A little embarrassed, but glad it was a simple fix.
All is well.

excellent! I will have to remember that fuse too. So the rear Fog Guards cluster light is no longer coming on?. Yes I also think the Euro headlights switch is superior. By the way, the rear Euro bumper Fog Guards wires are also taped from the factory behind each tailight assembly's wiring harness, so we can install something else back there and control it from the Euro switch!

I have an 87 Series 3 XJ6 and purchased the Euro side markers (front) as the US ones look cheesy - only wish there were rear ones....

How is the installation of these vs the thread so far? Many thanks.

I came up with a way to make the factory side-markers flash with blinkers and emergency flashers, if you want it, I'll send you the instructions.

I agree the European side-markers are more elegant. I'm not sure I understand your question.

Jose - went to your website and downloaded your instructions which are complete and very detailed.. thank you for your effort.

I guess the real question was for attachment - the Euro side markers are smaller and do not align (holes) with the US version. As my XJ is about to get a new paint job, I suppose that I will have other holes drilled and some filled. Really was hoping someone had some experience with this conversion and what was and how was it done....
