In the process of pulling the gas tanks to clean them out on my 82 xj6, and while I have everything off I'm toying with the idea of putting on a series II bumper on re-assembly. I imagine this would be a bolt on swap? anyone ever done this before?

 

I've got an 86 and am also interested in this. Very interested to see how it goes, if you decide to make the change.

 

Did you have any success with this,I think the bumpers on the series 3 are the only part that looks out of place.

 

just like trying to retro bumpers to a 1971 MG-B.
