Default Series III Front Grille

Took off the front grill to do a bit of rock chip repair up front. There are four threaded bosses in the grill, top, bottom and each side. There were three different threaded devices in my grill of which only two were holding the grill in place. Is the grill supposed to have threaded studs in those bosses that are secured with a nut and lock washer or is there some other mechanism to hold it in place? Thanks..............Jack.

I recall 4 studs with 4 nuts, 4 flat washers and 4 internal tooth lock washers.

Cheers

Thanks Doug. That's what I thought but you should have seen the bodge job holding my grill in place. 40 year old cars have many secrets.

Doug, after some more fiddling around I discovered this is the stud x 4 that holds the grille on. I could not find a part number for it or where it was sold separately. I've ordered some 1/4"x28 studs and some 1/4"x28 coupling nuts and will make my own. The one that was on the grille is a perfect fit on all four bosses.
