contains the jaguar service manual for series III XJ6s of both the 3.4 and 4.2 L variety as well as a parts catalog with part numbers and exploded diagrams. On the internet, people are selling copies of this "product" (nothing more than a poorly scanned set of image documents) as compatible with only Windows computers of certain minimum requirements and then selling their customers nothing more than a simple "exe" file which intermediates (basically, interferes) with the user reading and opening the pdf files directly. Those files must have been removed from such a disc and uploaded here.

I hope that this helps everyone else a bit just to get a easier picture of things in your head, confirm parts numbers, run diagnostic checks, etc. The pdf files are in one zip folder containing two folders, one for the service manual pages and another for the parts catalog. Free unzipping programs are widely available and often pre-installed in your operating system.

I don't have a series III right now but always save manuals for when I eventually get one.

If you don't mind me asking, where did you find this?

Thanks

the file service on which it is uploaded, anonfile, has a "public directory" where files can be found by search engines or their own search engine. I went poking around the internet and happened onto one of these, then guessed at the URL for others using trial and error.

I've found this stuff immensely helpful in reducing the number of "surprise parts" you encounter as you attempt a job new to you. It's easier to have everything at hand before you start.

Thanks excellent stuff but seems like the first part of parts catalogue is missing - the download starts with 02Engine

Thanks.

May be useful for the series 2 in some areas.

In this download I cannot find the section for Fuel Tank Removal & Replacement. In the Mechanic's Manual, it exists. I've looked in Body and Fuel System sections. I understand this is a revised/updated Manual, but did they delete the Fuel Tank procedure?

It is still there - It is in the jag manual folder, in the pdf titled "03 Fuel System"

In that PDF, the instructions for tank removal and refit (including drain) are provided on page 19 (in your PDF viewer) and what is marked on the scanned page as being "page 19-8"

I know at the top of that page it says its the section for 3.4 Carb Engines but I believe the instructions to be generic to the series, rather than particular to carb v fuel injection given that there are also instructions specifically for carb engines.

PDF of that page alone is attached.

There is a help files section which already contains at least the SIII service manual (see top of forum "How To Links") but the whole section is fragmented and disorganized and has been for some time, so I'd not hope for the moderators to curate it soon.

Jose, are these the same service manual files you contributed a year or so ago?

I don't know Tar. Do you mean the ones in the HOW TO SECTION at the top of the page?

Yes, of course-- the ones Jim posted in the thread on 5-20-15, thanking you for your contribution. I'm wondering if there is anything new in the files just posted.
Andrew.
